Senior Accounts Clerk – Oil & Gas Logistics

Senior Accounts Clerk Duties:
- Assist with preparing and executing the administrative budget.
- Manage funds, control expenses, and reconcile petty cash as a Senior Accounts Clerk.
- Process payments, assist with reconciliation between bank accounts and the general ledger.
- Ensure accounting of income and expenses meets standards.
- Optimize the use of financial systems.
- Post Vouchers/Bills, Petty Cash, and manage other system entries.
- Post invoices and receipts, convert currency (USD to SRD) and ensure accurate system posting.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients and follow up for collections.
- Prepare reports, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) reports for the Accountant/ GM.
- Other finance-related duties as requested by the Accountant/ GM.
- Take a leading role in supporting the preparation and submission of bids and tenders, including gathering and organizing the necessary documentation.
Administrative Duties:
- Assist with procurement of goods and administrative services and prepare contracts.
- Help manage office facilities and maintain the inventory of office assets.
- Assist in coordinating emergency procedures, office security, and official events.
- Maintain company and client information.
- Ensure office efficiency by providing necessary materials as a Senior Accounts Clerk.
- Answer calls, correspond with clients, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintain office equipment and ensure it’s in working order.
- Other duties as requested by GM including leading role in supporting bid/tender submission, gathering of documents.
HSE Responsibilities:
- The Employee is required to support all Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality (HSSEQ) initiatives, policies, procedures and activities in all aspects of the Company’s operations.
- Report unsafe conditions to the Manager immediately.
- Adhere to general office safety protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Accounting / Finance (or equivalent).
- Professional certification (AAT, ACCA part-qualified/CAT, CPA associate level) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years accounting or finance related experience in a corporate environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of payroll inputs and reconciliation.
