The Operations and Fuel Management System Supervisor oversees all on-site fuel management activities, ensuring compliance with Fusecon and client HSEQ regulations while maintaining operational efficiency. This role requires strong mechanical and electronic expertise to supervise maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fueling systems at mining sites. The position serves as a key liaison between technical staff, site management, and head office logistics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical Operations & Maintenance
- Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fueling systems and equipment at mine sites
- Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot diesel and lube delivery bays to ensure continuous operational efficiency
- Schedule and execute routine inspections and maintenance of fuel and lube systems
- Develop and track maintenance planning for fuel station and bowsers operation
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Create and assign weekly task schedules for technical crews, ensuring alignment with operational goals
- Provide technical support and guidance to technicians, fuel attendants, and team member
- Conduct and oversee FMS/Mechanical/Electronic on-the-job training program
- Represent the Site Manager at field/HSE/operational meetings when required
Compliance & Reporting
- Monitor and report on KPI compliance, including HSEQ efficiency and delivery metrics
- Draft professional operational emails, develop HSEQ assessments, and prepare compliance reports
- Complete all required training courses and maintain current certifications
- Attend remote/internal conferences and pre-operative meetings as directed
Project & Resource Management
- Collaborate on project development and assessment for site improvements
- Coordinate with head office logistics team to expedite materials and consumables delivery
- Manage administrative tasks including documentation, requisitions, and inventory control

QUALIFICATIONS
- Natin/AMTO certificate, ICT, Werktuigbouw (Mechanical)/ Electrotechniek,
- Minimum 6 years of experience in mechanical and/or electronic operations, preferably in mining or industrial environments
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining rotating equipment and air pressurized systems
- Medium to high-level troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical and electronic systems
- Familiarity with Fuel Management Systems (FMS)
- Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations and compliance requirements in industrial settings
- Demonstrated supervisory experience with ability to lead technical teams
- Experience with maintenance planning and scheduling in industrial environments
- Leadership and team management capabilities
- Experience with maintenance management software systems
- Strong computer literacy with expertise in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Proficient English skills (both written and spoken
